A welding jig for cantilever arms, developed for a global manufacturer of support systems, cable trays, and cable ladders. The jig allows operators to load components into pneumatic clamps while a robot performs sequential welding. Multiple jigs are typically connected to a single welding robot.
Scope of Works
Develop a production-ready 3D model of the jig, along with manufacturing drawings and laser cutting files. Key requirements included high positioning accuracy and repeatability, robot accessibility, and keeping critical positioning areas free from weld spatter.
Input: 3D models of the product (12 arm variants of different sizes) and overall jig dimensions.
